OpenOffice.org
OpenOffice.org, also known as OOo, is an open-source office suite, including a applications for word processing(Writer), presentations (Impress), vector graphics (Draw), formula editing (Math), spreadsheet calculations (Calc), and databases (Base). It is available for many different platforms, including Microsoft Windows, various Unix systems with the X Window System, GNU/Linux, BSD, Solaris and Mac OS X.
As an open-source package OpenOffice.org is available at no cost. It is distributed under the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL). OpenOffice.org supports as default the Open Document Format(ODF), however, it is also compatible with Microsoft Office for reading and writing all types of Microsoft Office documents. This makes it easy to exchange documents with people that use the market leading office suite.
